Privacy Policy
Effective date: 14 July 2026
AwasHub (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a residential society management application used to manage visitors, deliveries, domestic staff, notices, complaints, maintenance, and community communication for a single housing society. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
The App collects the following categories of information:
- Account information: full name, username, and optionally an email address and mobile number, provided when your society administrator creates your account. Your password is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash (Argon2) — we never store or have access to your plain-text password.
- Visitor and delivery records: a visitor’s name, mobile number, and (optionally) a photograph captured at the gate, along with the flat visited, time of entry/exit, and who approved the visit.
- Domestic worker records: a worker’s name, mobile number, type of work, an optional photograph, and check-in/check-out attendance timestamps.
- Community content: notices, complaints, maintenance records, and chat messages you send to other members of your society within the App.
- Technical and security data: login timestamps, IP address, and an audit log of sensitive actions (such as account or approval changes), used to secure the App and investigate misuse.
The App does not collect your device’s precise location, does not use advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, and does not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate core features: visitor approvals, gate entry/exit, staff attendance, notices, complaints, and maintenance tracking.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure (including detecting repeated failed logins).
- To let you communicate with other verified members of your own society.
- To maintain an audit trail of administrative actions for accountability within the society.
3. Who Can See Your Information
Information is only visible within your own residential society and only to the roles that need it to perform their function: residents see their own household’s visitors and dues; security guards see gate-related visitor and worker information needed to manage entry (and are explicitly restricted from maintenance amounts and complaint details); administrators can manage users, notices, complaints, and maintenance for their society only. Data from one society is never visible to another society using the App.
4. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored on servers we operate, using an encrypted (HTTPS) connection between your device and our servers. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Photographs and file attachments are stored in a private object storage bucket that is not publicly accessible; access is granted only through short-lived, authorized links.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active with your society. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact your society administrator or email us at privacy@anandjeechoubey.com. We will action deletion requests within a reasonable time, except where retaining certain records (such as audit logs of gate entries) is necessary for the safety and security of the residential society.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for use by adult residents, staff, and administrators of a residential society and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
